guidelines for submission

  • There is a $35 fee (HST included) to participate in the exhibition.  The fee is non-refundable and a $25.00 NSF fee will be charged for returned cheques. Please make cheques payable to Strand Fine Art Services. Payment may also be made with Paypal, e-transfer, Mastercard, Visa (and of course, cash!)

  • Artists must be 16 years of age or older. You may submit up to 3 pieces for consideration. One (1) piece is guaranteed to be exhibited.
    Entry fee covers all three works.

  • Strand fine Art services receive a 50% commission from all work sold at the exhibition. Artists determine retail cost.

  • Work will not be accepted for consideration without receipt of a digital image by the due date of November 15th, 2019.

  • Strand Fine Art Services may use images of your artworks to promote The Clock Show -- by participating in The Clock Show 2019, you agree to license the copyright of submitted artwork to Strand Fine Art Services for the purposes of web promotion, exhibition, broadcast and publication, before and during the show.

  • Strand Fine Art Services is not responsible for the delivery or return of your artwork, nor for storing artwork after the pick-up dates. Artists must collect their work at designated times unless alternative arrangements are made with Strand Fine Art Services before the pick-up dates. If sending artwork by mail please include return postage.

  • Artwork left at Strand Fine Art Services after the pick-up dates and with no alternative arrangements made will become the property of Strand Fine Art Services to dispose of at its’ discretion.

  • Installation and curatorial decisions fall to Strand Fine Art Services. We cannot guarantee where artwork will be hung in the gallery nor can we guarantee pieces will be hung in a series. In case of unforeseen circumstances, exhibition dates may vary.

  • Every reasonable precaution will be taken during receiving, installing and exhibition. Strand Fine Art Services will assume no responsibility for loss or damage incurred. Artists must carry their own insurance.

IMPORTANT DATES 

Friday, November 15th

APPLICATION & ENTRY FEE DUE DATE ($35 HST included)

Mail envelope to: Strand Fine Art Services, 1161 Florence Street, Unit #4, London, ON N4W 2M7. Please submit printed copy of Artist Bio and/or Artists Statement with application/fee or when your artwork is dropped off. If using PayPal, please include the name of the artist the payment is for.  While submissions are happily accepted before the due date, NO artwork is to be submitted at this time.

HIGH QUALITY DIGITAL IMAGES ARE REQUIRED.  Please email your images to theclockshow@gmail.com by 6:00 p.m. November 15th.

Image submissions sent earlier are very much appreciated. Artwork will not be considered if digital image(s) are not submitted by November 5th, 2019.

Thursday, November 21st  to Saturday, November 23rd   

DROP-OFF DAYS – Thursday & Friday, 10:00 - 6:00 p.m.,  Saturday, 12 – 5 p.m. If your artworks have been mailed to the Strand, they must arrive by the end of the day on November 22nd. If sending artwork, please include return postage.

ARTWORK MUST INCLUDE:

  • Name, title, medium & retail price on the back of each work.

  • All works must be dry, set, cured or fixed before packaging to avoid damage/smudging.

  • All artwork must have a wire or hanging system. If artwork requires special hardware to hang, please provide the hardware in a zip-lock bag. Include your name, the name of the piece and instructions in the bag. If possible, tape this to the back of your work.
